There is a definite shift in the seasons, the air feels different; cooler and more crisp. The sun is slowly retreating back to its old routine and I will miss it sorely. My favourite light of late summer afternoon haze is being replaced by the sharper, colder and more harsh winter light. It is a challenge working in winter, colder weather and frozen fingers combined with short days does not lend itself to the most productive photography. So I am sad to see the summer pass by, and oh so quickly. I got to thinking about time, such a complex concept that alters as you age. As my 26th birthday approaches, I wonder where did the time go?
I absolutely resonated with this project by artist Alyson Provax called the Time Wasting Experiment. I’m more than guilty of wasting my time in such a negative way and it’s a good reminder that you should stop expending so much energy and time on indecision, worry and anxiety.
