This week has been a rather strange and disparate one. We’re already a week into June and heading towards the longest day of the year. It’s always bittersweet as you know it’s all downhill from there and the days get shorter by the minute.
The weather has also been all over the place and there’s definitely a strange energy with everyone this week; a restlessness and feeling of stagnation.
Last night I went with Chlo and Ro to see the Two Faces of January which was beautifully shot in all 60’s pastel hues, surrounded by idyllic Grecian Islands. This seriously made me think of packing my bags immediately and getting the next flight out. I don’t even care where I go anymore, I just need to get out of Cambridge and get some fresh sea air. With work and other people’s schedules it’s been a lot harder than usual to plan anything, I guess that’s what happens when you get older and people have real commitments. I’m still hopeful that something will come up spontaneously, but perhaps I should look into travelling alone, though that wouldn’t be nearly as fun.
