Some of my favourite moments from my three months living and working in beautiful Costa Rica. I would return in a heartbeat; the vibrancy, stunning nature, salsa music and the people of Central America is something I will never forget. One day I hope to make it north to explore the other countries, as well as going to South America but there is just never enough time. I barely scratched the surface of Costa Rica despite staying for so long, but the beauty of travel is that you can return to the same countries repeatedly and always see and learn something new.
We spent the majority of our time in a small town called Turrialba, about 2 hours East of San Jose, where we were based, lived and worked for 13 weeks.
Piedras Blancas, a stunning part of the Osa conservation area was one of the projects the groups were working on and I was lucky to visit twice for a week each time.
La Cangreja National Park was another area in the Puriscal region I visited twice during my time in Costa Rica. The wildlife, pounding rain and lush rainforest made me fall in love with this remote area.
A brief stop at an empty beach near Guanacaste.
Back to Turrialba.
