Aruba is a very small island, only around 20 miles long and 6 across. On one rainy, overcast day we headed into the main city of Oranjestad and took advantage of the cooler temperatures to walk around and explore the colourful streets. We used one of the buses which all the locals seem to use; a large van that picks you up and drops you off where you want, much like a taxi. It was great to experience something authentic and feel less like a tourist. After a few hours of wandering, we decided to head back for an afternoon relaxing back at our apartment.
